I should be really happy I got two jumping chest to bar pull ups this morning, but damn....all of my other attempts were like a quarter of an inch short, I mean really just about there. I spent 6+ minutes the remainder of the WOD just to get two. My overall score is not going to be great. Total reps 26.2: 70
Well.....I don't have one (26.2). My plan was to do 26.2 @ 6:00am and then go to my pickleball class at 7:30. I was up at 5:00am, no big deal I'm usually up that early or earlier, I got ready, ate, Craig got a water bottle ready for me and I'm doing what....I have no idea, I guess I was having a senior moment, or several senior moments, puttering around, trying not to stress about how far I wouldn't get in the workout, not stressing over masters scaled or foundations, not stressing because lets be real, it really doesn't matter. Anyways I looked at the clock and all my extra not stressing had put me 15 minutes past when I needed to leave, what...how did I let time get away from me like that, especially when I was ready and well....doing nothing. I briefly considered skipping pickleball and going to 8:00am Crossfit but I skipped pickleball last week so I could start 26.1 at 8:00am.
So there I was at Pickleball! Which by the way I won dropping the ball in the bucket, but it still leaves me with 26.2 hanging over my head. I have a class reserved for tomorrow at 8:30, let's see if I can get myself there by 8:25. Score to come....it has a 15 minute time cap, but when you can't do anymore you're done. My friend this morning made it 8 minutes, I figure I can survive about that long.
Normally I'm not a fan of partner workouts but right now I've got a great partner.

Last night I was sitting at 98th place for my division, I was pretty excited to be in the top 100, this morning I am bumped down to 112 and will go farther down as more scores come in. I got no repped on more of my wall balls than I would have liked due to depth. Note to self, don't waste effort and reps and time, make them all good. It was a wicked workout.
60.5lbs going to take the judges course and wait for the open announcement. Ker said she'd help me figure out the best strategy for points. Officially on Team Amrappers!
19:21 totally tired today, but.....my pickleball partner is back, first time playing tomorrow after surgery! Can't wait to play!

Broadjump: I didn't pay attention to the tape, my goal was just to make it to the next mat.
Boxjump: I did a 20" box today! I'm very excited about that, I attempted 22", I think I can do it but my brain said no.
Deadlift: 153lbs
I usually put plates under my feet when I bench, today I used boxes, I may not have benched heavier but it did feel better, I will definitely continue using boxes instead of plates.
After a little commitment pep talk from my CF friend yesterday I went home and did it, pulled the trigger and registered.
Ive been doing the 6:00am class a lot, it just works better for my day and pickleball, but today I went back to my favorite 8:00am class--totally different vibe but I love them both. My friend is talking me into doing the open, I'm not 100% there yet, but close.

Total: 41 step overs, I did not scale the row, I'm noticing what used to be a hard pace for me to keep is now pretty much where I row so that's a little progress.
Today's crossfit is all running, so as much as I'm trying not to cherry pick that's a lie, I still really am. Played pickleball, came home and did some lifting and not regretting not running. Lesson tonight with Todd.
Friday at pickleball class the coach made a very rude comment to me, I don't really think I'm thin skinned but "ouch". It was about my skills and I'm the first to admit they are often lacking, but that's why I'm in class. I had a premonition come over me, "shake it off, you're going to win the tournament on Sunday." I've placed before, but never won. The feeling persisted, even this morning-you're going to win. I had four matches, the first one I lost and just said to myself "so much for premonitions, now just have fun", I won my next three matches and ended up with enough points to win. I have to say it was a very sweet victory.

It was cold this morning. Runs were chopped up into 200's which made them more doable. Kettlebell swings were ok. Lots of handstand practice lately, must be in the open.
I am continuing my love/hate relationship with pickleball. Crossfit is going well, time to start golf?
Could've been unscaled but I chose not to run the 400's today, I think 200 is just fine.

I had a lesson with Todd last night, we worked on my cut serve, when it's good, it's good.
We played very well today, quite a contrast from yesterday, maybe it's just getting back in the groove after a long break. Played today at Freedom, playing tomorrow at Miles and taking a lesson from Todd on Tuesday. Melissa and I are talking about pairing up for a tournament so a little partner work with Todd would be good.
Random unmeaningful number--oh yeah number of knees to elbows (attempts) and lunges interspersed with handstand walk practice.
Pickleball class following Crossfit, my pickleball has not been good lately. Going to do some drills later today.
