I didn't do today's hero WOD and instead went to practice some of the things from my pickleball lesson last night, mostly thirds. It was a little windy but still a good practice.
Today the Sheriffs were allowing cabin owners into the canyon to assess the damage, there was a three hour window you had to get in and out. Brian and Sarah went down to check it out, the fire burned the bottom of the deck posts, replacing the deck was on our list so not too sad about that, the old outhouse that Brian had taken down the week before the fire is now complete ash, guess that won't have to be hauled away. There was one cabin with a total loss but from what Bri reported everything else was fairly minor. It still made me very emotional to see the devastation of the area, and to think firefighters put their lives in danger to protect our structures which mean nothing compared to their lives.
