Cardio Choices


 CF today was 10 rounds of row/bike.  I decided I would rather get my cardio and run (which have been slightly neglected) done at the same time.  I did Baldwin Loop, Strava says I did 2.42 miles in 34 minutes. My watch says my pace was 19 minutes/mile. Ok....

I had lots of stops for flower pics:



I also stopped to read the signs, so I didn't get lost!  Brilliant!


This is me, realizing I'm at the end of the trail and know my way home!  After I took this I immediately slipped on the rocks and fell on my butt.  But I wasn't lost.

 Eleven minutes and 47 seconds of lifting.  Piece of cake, right! Check that out, 60 deadlifts, 45 hang power cleans and 30 push jerks. I thought I was light at 35lbs but I still couldn't do it unbroken.






This happened this weekend, #2 pr'd big time this weekend, I love that smile on his face, and the next day:


Kael was the first freshman to make All-CIF!  Way to go boys, I am so proud of both of you!

     I got a little behind on my running last week, but I had a great time with Kathy and Darcy here.

30 Clean and Jerks

 That's it, that's all, no cardio.  It was hard but I loved it.  I didn't think I could do 45lbs for that many, but I did. 50 on my single heavy so it wasn't backing off too far.  Farmers Market this morning with Mom and Kath.  Nice morning. I gotta get a run in sometime, afternoon goals.

Recovery?




Today's workout was called Less and Less, it's true you do less and less, but you get more and more tireder. 15-20-25 on the snatches, 17:27 time.


This happened today too, just waiting for it to heat up and looking forward to some good recovery time.

Same Ole

 Same ole run I've been doing 1.5 at the ranch.  Boring I know, but it's the flattest place I know.  A little encouragement, my pace went down by a minute for the week, that's good.  I just want lots more minutes decrease before I do St. George. Trying to get more friendly with Strava.

Heavy overhead squat

 Ok, I got to 45lb, wish it was more but it is what it is. The second part--you get three minutes to run 400M and do as many overhead squats as you can until you get to 75.  I definitely had to scale the run or there's no way I would have time for the squats. Highly scaled, but done--12:06
